LIGHTSTAR®
We provide nano-sized functional space!
Porous spherical silica particle sol with mesopores
LIGHTSTAR® is a sol manufactured using a proprietary manufacturing method (*) in which porous spherical silica particles are dispersed in each type of solvent.
(*)A manufacturing method that does not use organic substances, and therefore places little burden on the environment.
The fine pores are mesopores measuring 2 nm to 50 nm in diameter, allowing the material to have an extremely high pore volume.
Main Characteristics
- The particle size is submicron, and is available in 2 types: normal particles and small particles.
- The particles are spherical.
- The fine pores are connected three-dimensionally, providing a high pore volume.
- Good heat resistance. Even near 900ºC, there is little breakdown of fine pores or reduction of the specific surface area.
- Because the sol is dispersed in a solvent, it is easy to use, allowing selection of the dispersion solvent that is most suited to the use.
