Evaluation by Outside Organization
Dow Jones Sustainability Indices（DJSI）
Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) is a stock index jointly developed by S&P Dow Jones Indices in the United States and RobecoSAM, a Swiss investment management advisory firm, to select corporates with excellent sustainability in the view point of "economics", "environment and "society".
"DJSI Asia Pacific", which is Asia-Pacific version of DJSI, is targeting major companies in the Asia-Pacific region and 158 companies (82 companies from Japan) were selected from about 600 companies in 2020. The Company is selected as a constituent of the DJSI Asia Pacific for three consecutive years.
FTSE4Good Index Series and FTSE Blossom Japan Index
These indices are created by the global index provider FTSE Russell (the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company). The FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices.
The FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed as an industry neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating strong ESG practices in Japan.
These indices are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products, and FTSE Blossom Japan Index is adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) as one of the indices utilized for making ESG investments.
The Company is selected as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series and FTSE Blossom Japan Index.
SNAM Sustainability Index
The SNAM Sustainability Index is an socially responsible investment product launched in August 2012 by Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SNAM) for pension funds and institutional investors who invest in a wide range of companies that are rated highly for their environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. Based on the index constituted by the individual stock selected consdering ESG evaluation ratings undertaken by research companies, management is made with a view to long-term investments.
The Company is selected as a constituent of the SNAM Sustainability Index.
Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program (White 500)
Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program (White 500) was launched in 2017 with the aim of expanding the number of companies working on health and productivity management. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Japan Health Council (Nippon Kenko Kaigi), which is composed of leaders of the economic organizations, medical organizations and municipal governments, jointly certify the companies practicing good health and productivity management in cooperation with health insurance associations.
We have been recognized under this program for five consecutive years.
CDP Water Secutity A List
CDP is a global non-profit organization that request information disclosure to companies and municipalities and drives them to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests based on request of global institutional investors etc. with a strong interest in environmental issues. Over 9,600 companies with over 50% of global market capitalization in various countries disclosed environmental information through CDP in 2020.
Since FY2019, the Company has been listed for two consecutive years on Water Security “A List” as a company with excellent sustainable water resource management by CDP.
Nikko Investor Relations Co., Ltd. " Survey of All Japanese Listed Companies’ Website Ranking"
Nikko Investor Relations Co., Ltd. ranks websites based on Understandability, Usability/Accessibility, and Variety of information. In 2020, the award was granted following an examination and evaluation of the websites of 3,844 listed companies, with 468 companies selected as award recipients (AAA Website: 177 companies, AA Website: 125 companies, A Website: 166 companies). The Company won the AAA website for three consecutive years from 2018.
Morningstar "Gomez IR Site Rankings"
Analysts at Morningstar Japan K.K. rank websites from an investor’s perspective based on their ease of use, the thoroughness of their financial and accounting information, the detail of their company and management information, and the extent of their transparency and information disclosure.
In 2020, the award was granted following an examination and evaluation of the websites of all listed companies in Japan, with 312 companies selectied as award recipients (Gold Ranking: 22 companies, Silver Ranking: 156 companies, Bronze Ranking: 134 companies). The Company has won the Silver Ranking for three consecutive years from 2018.
Daiwa Investors Relations Co., Ltd. "Internet IR Award"
Based on the concept of "5T&C※", "Internet IR Award" selected by Daiwa Investors Relations Co., Ltd. is given to those companies that construct exellent websites for investors relations and effectively use the internet for information disclosure and communication activities.
In 2020, the award was granted following an examination and evaluation of the websites of 3883 listed companies, with 144 companies selectied as award recipients (Grand Prize: 7 companies, Exellent Award: 21 companies, Commendation Award: 116 companies). The Company has won the Commendation Award for three consecutive years from 2018.
