We have concentrated on developing new pharmaceuticals
that meet the needs of the aging society.
We have released the anti-hypertensive agent
LANDEL and the anti-hyperlipidemic agent
LIVALO. Presently we are conducting clinical
tests for NM-702 (an anti-platelet agent)
for launching them in domestic and overseas
markets. |

At Nissan Chemical, R&D is the driving
force behind our growth. Through R&D,
we develop unique and outstanding technology
and produce value-added products with a multitude
of completely new features. Within Japan,
we maintain four R&D bases where, in
addition to our ongoing and original research
and development, we engage in joint research
with both Japanese and overseas public research
institutes, universities and companies, as
well as actively sharing our technology.
Outside of Japan, besides
opening our agrochemicals field
test sites in Indiana,
USA(1994)
and in France(1997),
we are conducting product planning and
experimental research
at the global level through joint ventures
in France and Spain.
